The goal of the Little Friends School summer program is to provide an enriched educational and recreational summer experience for children.
The program, in our fully air conditioned facility, is open to children from 2 to 12 years of age. We're committed to building self-esteem through positive social, educational, physical and creative experiences. Our fine staff members and our nurturing environment enable our campers to excel in an atmosphere which states that camp is a fun place to be!
A summer at Little Friends will reward your child with lasting friendships, better self-awareness, and new skills. Our summer program provides diversified experiences in which each child with achieve optimal success.
Children have an exciting summer vacation as they explore the different activities at Little Friends, among them: Animal shows, Magicians, and Story Tellers.
The school aged children will also get to enjoy special trips where they can go experience the many wonderful exhibits and activities available in New York City. The children have an opportunity to discuss, learn and share ideas about their adventures. Academics are reinforced as well.
Little Friends Summer Program provides arts and crafts activities that are developmentally appropriate. We address each age group differently geared toward fine motor skills as well as giving independence in each child’s work. We want our children to be able to make their own projects on their own with minimal assistance from the teachers. This is the project that they created. We also make projects that the children can actually use. We believe that early exposure to art, music and dance is the foundation to a lifetime appreciation of the arts. It’s a fun way to grow.
Little Friends provides science and nature activities that will stimulate curiosity in your child. There is no doubt that from the planting of vegetables to the examination of bugs and plants, your child will learn about nature and science here at Little Friends. Their wonder of the world will be stimulated and their understanding expanded.
Little Friends provides dance and music activities that will stimulate your child’s interest in the arts. The children are exposed to a variety of music and dance that will expose them to new and different ideas and cultures. Their understanding of music and art will be expanded through the variety of experiences provided at Little Friends.
Little Friends also incorporates water into the program on the hot summer days. We provide a variety of sprinklers and water games to encourage your child to play with friends and share a fun experience. Each child is encouraged to participate andshare in this fun activity.
Breakfast, lunch and snack are provided by Classic Cuisine and follow the regulations set forth by the Child and Adult Food care Program. Meals are well balanced with fresh fruits and vegetables. Milk is low fat and snacks are healthy as well.
